STEPHEN SHAFFER

PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Stephen Shaffer was introduced to the funeral service profession as a CPA, conducting independent audits at a Big Six accounting firm for various funeral businesses. His passion and interest for the profession quickly grew, leading him from his pure accounting career into a position as Controller for Prime Succession located in Batesville, Indiana. Prior to co-founding Foundation Partners Group, Steve was co-founder, CFO and Executive Vice President of Keystone Group Holdings based in Tampa, Florida, which grew to approximately 214 funeral homes and cemeteries. His time with Keystone furthered his understanding of the importance of insuring that the accounting, finance and information systems resources serve affiliates so they may, in turn better service families. Steve is committed to leading a team that will provide the people, services and expertise that will make Foundation Partners thrive.

Steve is a 1987 graduate of the Kelley Business School, Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana and a CPA. He is member of NFDA (National Funeral Directors Association) and CCL (The Center for Creative Leadership).
